Amber Midthunder signs to CAA 2022

Amber Midthunder has signed with CAA to mark her breakout year following her performance in the Hulu drama “Prey.”

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, Hulu has billed the “Predator” prequel — the fifth movie in the packed franchise — as either the first movie on television or the most-watched movie of all time. Founded in the Comanche Nation in 1717, this project also marks a significant cultural moment for indigenous representation, both for the company and for Midthunder, who is a registered member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine tribe on the Sioux Indian Reservation.

In the film, Amber Midthunder plays Naru, a young warrior who fights to save his tribe from the Predator. After receiving critical acclaim from the audience for his performance, he was named in the Top 10 Actors of the Year list every year. Before filming “Prey”, Midthunder starred with Liam Neeson and Laurence Fishburne in Jonathan Hensleigh’s “The Ice Road” for Netflix. He also produced and directed “The Wheel,” which debuted to critical review at the 2021 Toronto Film Festival.

Midthunder may be known for his role in Noah Hawley’s FX series “Legion,” playing Kerry Loudermilk from 2017-2019, opposite Aubrey Plaza, Dan Stevens, Jeremie Harris and Katie Aselton. She also starred in “Roswell, New Mexico” as Rosa Ortecho. Last week, it was announced that Midthunder will join the cast of Netflix’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” playing Princess Yue, the compassionate leader of the Northern Water Tribe, in the upcoming live-action adaptation.

In addition to CAA, Midthunder continues to manage Corner Booth Entertainment; Darren Trattner and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer; and PMK Rogers & Cowan.
